2016 is almost upon us so today I will be doing my favourites of 2015 post.
Favourite Song from a Disney Channel Original Movie: This is a tough one as I love ‘On My Own’ from Teen Beach 2 as well as ‘If Only’ and ‘Set It Off’ from Descendants. arrghhh!!!!! Okay, my favourite song from DCOM is ‘If Only’ from Descendants sung by Mal (portrayed by Dove Cameron)
Favourite song from a TV Series: ‘Take it From the Top’ from Austin & Ally. This song is from the new season and has a cool dance that goes with it.
Favourite episode of the year: This is a tie between ‘Ask-Her-More-A-Rooney’ from Liv & Maddie because of the gender issues addressed in the episode and ‘Girl Meets the Forgiveness Project’ from Girl Meets World simply because it left me in tears.
Favourite finished series of the year: This obviously goes to I Didn’t Do It. Was way too short and there could have been more development to the storylines and characters if it continued.
Favourite new series of the year: This has to be K.C Undercover. Loving the whole concept of it and Zendaya’s high kicks are amazing.
Favourite overall series of the year: Girl Meets World because every episode always has a message behind it. Love the characters and this is a great show for both young and old.
Favourite character from a DCOM: For the comedic side, it has to be Tanner from Teen Beach 2 simply because his perception of the modern world is hilarious. Overall favourite character would have to be Mal from Descendants, though Cleo from Invisible Sister was close second.
Favourite character from a series: Riley Matthews (portrayed by Rowan Blanchard) from Girl Meets World. I love Riley’s quirkiness and how loyal and caring she is towards her friends. Sometimes it means sacrificing love in order to make her friend happy (hopefully that was not a spoiler).
Well, that’s it for 2015. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year and bring on 2016!

Shows of 2015
Hey guys! 2016 is almost here and today I’m going to write about the shows the started and ended in 2015.
Shows the ended in 2015 were Jessie, Dog with a Blog and I Didn’t Do It. Jessie was continued as a spin-off show called Bunk’d which also started this year. I was never a fan of Dog with a Blog as I never really got the concept of the dog talking, so there’s not much to say about this show. The show I was sad about it ending was I Didn’t Do It. I wrote a blog about it ending as this was one of my favourite shows and was very short-lived. I really liked the storyline and the concept of ordinary teenagers going to highschool and just simply living life.
Shows that started in 2015 were as mentioned above Bunk’d as well as Best Friends Whenever, K.C Undercover and the animated series of Descendants called Descendants: Wicked World. I’m loving K.C Undercover at the moment with Zendaya playing a spy. The plot is cool as well as the secret spy gadgets they use. Best Friends Whenever has quite a cool concept of best friends always being best friends at any point in time. There is a time-jump aspect that can be confusing at times but overall it’s a good show. Loving the animated Descendants series as I said yesterday.
Hey guys! The new year is approaching fast but it feels like 2015 only just started. One of the new Disney Channel movies that came out this year was Descendants. The movie was then continued as an animated series called Descendants: Wicked World.
This show follows on from where the movie left off with the villain kids still at Auradon Prep. The actors/actresses that voiced the characters in the movie also voice them for the animated series. In this post, I will be outlining the pros and cons of this show.
- We get introduced to new characters. So far, the new characters that have appeared are: Freddie (daughter of Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog), Jordan (daughter of The Genie), Ally (the daughter of Alice from Alice in Wonderland).
- The episodes are short, so there is always suspense for the next episode, never leaving you bored.
- They sung ‘Good is the New Bad'(Episode 9) which was not in the movie but in the soundtrack for the movie.
- The episodes are only 2 minutes long on average. They’re over so quick before they even began.
- A new episode comes every two weeks. They are short and we have to wait a long time to see a new one.
So far, there are only 12 episodes which you can catch up on before the new episodes come. The animated series is quite good and with Descendants 2 coming out soon, hopefully they include the new characters as well!
So today’s post is going to be a review of the Disney Channel Original Movies of 2015.
The movies that were released in 2015 were Bad Hair Day, Teen Beach 2, Descendants and Invisible Sister.
Bad Hair Day: This movie was the first to be released in 2015 and after the success of Teen Beach 2 and Descendants, is quite forgettable. Although the movie is quite good and has all the things that you don’t want to happen on such a big day as prom. Rating: 6/10
Teen Beach 2: The anticipated sequel to Teen Beach Movie and definitely lived up to its expectations. This time the movie was set in Brady and Mack’s world and followed Lela and Tanner’s view of the modern world. The songs were groovy and catchy and made me want to dance!. My favourite song from this movie was definitely the ballad ‘On My Own’. Rating: 8/10
Descendants: Another anticipated movie of 2015. This movie followed the kids of villains from all your favourite movies such as Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin and Snow White. This movie was fantastic and I can’t wait for Descendants 2 coming out soon. Fav song: ‘Set it Off’ and ‘If Only’. Rating: 8/10
Invisible Sister: This movie was very overshadowed by Teen Beach 2 and Descendants, but it was different in the sense that it was not musically based. This movie had great messages behind the storyline but was unfortunately placed after the two bigger Disney movies of the years. There didn’t seem to be much advertising for this movie as Descendants and Teen Beach, but nevertheless, it was an amazing movie. Rating: 7/10
So 2015 is almost finished and the new year is approaching, so I thought that I’ll post each day until 2015 finishes. Today, the post is going to be episodes of December.
Since it’s December the theme of most of the episodes is Christmas. Down below is all the episodes that aired in December.
- Liv and Maddie – “Joy-to-a-Rooney”
- Bunk’d – “Secret Santa”
- Best Friends Whenever – “The Girls of Christmas Past”
- Austin & Ally – “Santas & Surprises”
- K.C Undercover – “Twas the Fight Before Christmas”
- Girl Meets World – “Girl Meets the New Year” (This episode was the exception to the Christmas theme in which it focuses on New Years Eve/New Years)
Today there is good news the Liv and Maddie is going to be renewed for Season 4!
Dove Cameron announced via Twitter the good news but it has not been officially announced by Disney.
So looking forward to more Liv and Maddie and cannot wait for what the writers have in store. Season 3 is not finished yet, but with this amazing news, we can look forward to more L & M on our screens in the future :D.
